Last Will And Testament

I know this post is a bit overdue but I have been trying to recover from the aftermath of Caitlin's Last Will And Testament Party, which rocked, by the way. After coming home on the 24th, I got a bit sick, but I am so much better now!

I have been living in Ireland for three years. THREE YEARS. I'm halfway through my secondary school education! I know I have said this every year, but I again have learned so many things in the past year and my life has improved so much and I am just so happy. (By the way, if you want to see last year's anniversary post, click here.) Last year me and my cousin celebrated my second year anniversary by baking cake and having a Wii party by ourselves, but this year- and this is entirely coincidental (meant to be?) -I celebrated with some of my closest friends by having a party. A Last Will and Testament Party.

Now before you go messaging me kind words and/or contacting the Suicide Hotline, I am not -none of us are- going to commit suicide. We just thought it would be an interesting theme for our gathering, as it opens a lot of interesting and debatable discussions. And sure enough, by the end of the night (or by the break of dawn), we have shared talks from our opinions of the educational system to lowly gossip and rumours about people we know (shh.). We also watched a movie (500 Days Of Summer), ate fantastic food, including a cake that says "We survived the JC and all we get is cake?", played Monopoly (which was interrupted halfway through when Caitlin leaned on the gaming board and knocked all the pieces over. We had to count our money plus the value of our properties instead. Caitlin won.), and listened to my friend Orla (who has a blog, check her out here) do a reading of The Lorax by Dr. Seuss. The highlight of the night, though, and the core of our party, was our Last Will And Testaments, which we read out to the group. There were a few tears.

Here are some pictures. Enjoy.

And last but not the least, one of my friends from this part has recently started a blog! Make sure to check her out here because she's pretty freaking awesome.

I'll talk to you guys soon!
Bye!

Lists. Lists. So Many Lists.

So I have been looking over my blog for about half an hour now and I realised that there are so many Lists (well, okay, two) of things that I want to do within an assorted period of time that I have failed been struggling to complete. So what I have decided to do is to make a page of the books I want to read, the things I want to do, the movies/TV shows I want to see, and I pledge to complete most if not all of these lists as much as I possibly can.

I need to get very important things done.

Love,
Danielle.

I Built A Fort

Again.

I would say that this is actually one of the best ones I have ever built ever! It's very comfortable and warm inside and there are lots of space as well. Can I keep this in my room forever?

So I am officially starting the summer holidays in about 4 days and I am very determined to make this the best summer holiday so far. Me and my friends exchanged lists before we even did the Junior Cert. A Summer To-Do List. Orla and Caitlin gave me their lists about a week or so before school ended, Orla's being full of books to read and Caitlin's being full of dares to do.

But I still don't have a list of things to do over the summer for myself.

So I'm going to make one. Right now.

Danielle's List of Things To Do for the Summer:
  1. Finish the summer to-do list that I made a year ago, which you can find here.
  2. Finish Orla and Caitlin's lists for me.
  3. Read more classics (at least 6 classics over the season)
  4. Make a map of the world for my wall with Orla.
  5. Learn to play new chords in the guitar. (Cause D A Em G is getting kind of tiring)
  6. Take more pictures.
  7. Be more connected to other people in youtube and other bloggers. Have discussions and conversations. Share interests. Give your 2 cents on a subject. USE WORDS.
  8. Blog more (at least three times a week)
  9. Get caught up in the 50 books challenge.

That's all I could think of so far. But I expect I'll add in more later.

I should sleep now, so.

Goodbye!

Love,
Danielle.

I Have Missed You All.

The Junior Cert Examinations is finally over! Well, mostly over... I still have to do my one last exam on Wednesday, which is Music. It sucks that I have to wait for it for five days, of course, but what can you do. At least I'm mostly finished! *three cheers hooray!*

Oh wow I have missed this. I missed the sound of the keys of my keyboard as I turn my thoughts into sentences that at the very least resemble coherence. I have missed the quiet whispers that escape my mouth as I try to make sense of my ramblings. I have missed the feeling of not having anything to worry about but the words that I would choose to be on one blog post that nobody cares about. I'm so happy I'm back. And I can't wait to get back to the swing of blogging again!

I have no idea what I am going to talk to you all about for the next... 2 billion years, but I am going to find something, no matter how mediocre, and I am going to talk to you all about it. I also think it's worth mentioning that I am doing BEDA, Blog Every Day in August. Well, I will try. But I will try hard.

So I'll see you guys very, very soon!
Goodbye for now!

Love,
Danielle.
